Roberta’s Forager X10 in Action!
Winter feeding is one of the most physically demanding jobs on the farm, and through our #BlaneyCommunity Forager X10 Campaign, we wanted to give back to a farmer who could truly benefit from a helping hand this season.
After receiving an incredible number of heartfelt nominations, we selected Roberta Mullen as the winner of a Forager X10 bale unroller loan for the winter. Roberta’s dedication to her farm and family stood out, as she manages:
✅ 60 suckler cows
✅ 100 sheep
✅ A livery yard
✅ Three young boys – all while her husband works full-time off the farm!
Feeding silage on a busy hill farm is no easy task, and her nominator highlighted how much time and effort it takes to manually distribute silage along the sheds. With rising feed costs, ensuring even distribution with minimal waste is more important than ever, and the Forager X10 was the perfect solution to help lighten her workload this winter.
What is the Forager X10?
The Forager X10 is a one-tractor or telehandler round bale feeding system designed to save time, reduce waste, and take the hard work out of winter feeding. It allows farmers to:
🚜 Self-load bales without needing additional equipment
🔄 Unroll and distribute silage quickly and evenly
⚙️ Adjust the output to control feed distribution, minimising waste
💪 Save time and effort – no more forking or pushing bales out by hand!
Roberta’s Experience So Far
A few weeks into using the Forager X10, we checked in with Roberta to see how she’s getting on. Here’s what she had to say:
🗣️ “It is going well and helping to distribute the bales well and evenly without having to push them out with the grab. It’s a very useful tool for the farm.”
By taking the strain off winter feeding, the Forager X10 is already making a difference on Roberta’s farm. More efficiency, less waste, and a lot less back-breaking work!
