Innovations in Spraying Technology
July 6, 2016
Blaney Agri have launched their new model tractor sprayers and deluxe booms. Designed and manufactured in Ballymena, Co Antrim they have been re-engineered to make them easier to use and to ensure a longer life span, saving the customer valuable time and money over the lifetime of the product and protecting their investment.
Grass quality and availability is the biggest contribution to livestock farms’ success and profitability, and so if you don’t control your weeds they result in lower farm productivity and less profitability. The Blaney sprayers are available from 400L to 1300L capacity and come equipped with many features as standard including: clean water tank, hand wash tank, low fill height with steps each side for easy access to lids and an easy to read level gauge. The sprayers come with two main filters, filters in all nozzles, valve filters and a basket filter. A self fill option is available to save time on preparation and set up.
The sprayer frames and booms are designed for long life, going through a pre treatment process, galvanising and then powder coating for durability and pleasing aesthetics. Following customer feedback from those using competitors’ machines, the Blaney sprayer frame is designed to protect the tank from damage if the sprayer comes into contact with the ground. The booms have a breakaway in both directions, with an auto reset function in case of collision with an obstacle.
The booms have a multi section cut off system with new models having an improved valve layout for easy access and making it easy to switch between wash tanks. The pump has been relocated to make the PTO longer for reduced working angles for increased lifespan. The new boom design allows for adjustable height and angle settings of the outer sections. This helps protect your investment by allowing you to make adjustments to keep within the boundaries of the new test regulations where little allowance is given for errors in alignment.
The new deluxe booms have a new fold up system to avoid the need for any heavy lifting. The new Blaney deluxe boom offers welcome protection for nozzles from accidental damage and to avoid additional calibration requirements. This feature also incorporates an antidrift function by protecting the exit point of the nozzle for a more accurate and efficient spray pattern. Options include triple nozzles for various flow rates to suit different vegetation, electronic nozzle control, self fill to save time on preparation and hydraulic height adjust and hydraulic fold up booms.
The Blaney Agri range offers the farming community a sprayer that will outperform any cheap Eastern European import and compete favourably on price with established brands. The Blaney TGS sprayer range is equipped with high specification pumps and a high performance control system and anti-drip nozzles. These are all positive displacement, triple diaphragm pumps that are oil filled and self priming to achieve excellent performance. The pumps provide excellent resistance to any abrasion and corrosive chemicals for longer life.
